Young Kim, NCMACC Executive Director, received the Award
of 2007 Local Hero from Bank of America

Young Kim, executive director of Northern California Music and Art Culture Center (NCMACC), was recently named a recipient of the Bank of America¡¯s ¡°Local Hero¡± Award.

The Bank of America¡¯s Local Heroes program recognizes and honors five community heroes per year in each of the 30 selected communities whose achievements and leadership on local issues contributes significantly to neighborhood vitality.

Young Kim was recognized for her dedication in helping children develop confidence and offering a medium for self expression through music. Over the past 15 years, she has built up NCMACC, a non-profit organization, and helped over 10,000 children and their families in the community. Everyday she tries to find another way to expand the center and reach out to more people, sharing her love and talent of music.

Award recipients direct a $5,000 contribution to an eligible nonprofit of their choice.
