My name is Stephanie Chung. I have been a student at Northern California Music and Art Culture Center for 5 years now. Right now I am attending Burlingame Intermediate School and I am in 7th grade.
At NCMACC I take piano, musical acting, and math tutoring. I have also taken art classes and reading classes before . I have taken piano since I was 6 years old, but NCMACC truly, helped me to develop in the musical instrument more. Right now my piano teacher is Mrs. Youngsill Ahn. She is a kind teacher, and helps me with my struggles in piano. I'm now in my third year of performing in Korean muscials. Last year I performed in the Queen Shim Chung. I played the role of the village lady. This year I'm performing in The Korean Cinderella story (Kongji Patji). I'm going to play the role of the evil step-mother. By performing in muscials, taught by Ms. Kim, I endure character, confidence, and I express myself.
I have been taking math tutoring for 4 years now. Kathryn, my tutor, helps me with both science and math. In math I'm studying biology and the study of cells. In math I'm learning Advanced Algebra, and Pre-Trigonometry.
By participating in activities at NCMACC, I have gained a lot of knowledge that I use now and will use later. Even though I may not want to be a famous musician, musical actress, or math teacher NCMACC has helped me a lot. It has also helped my younger brother who also studies at NCMACC, his name is Joshua. He takes cello and piano. And I have also seen him growing in his musical abilities.
I thank all my teachers that helped me be where I am right now. And I hope to someday make them all proud!
